Today, I decided to try something I’d always wanted to make—donuts! I woke up feeling adventurous, so I rolled up my sleeves, pulled out a recipe, and got to work.

The dough was surprisingly simple but took some patience. Kneading it felt like a mini workout, and then I had to let it rise. Waiting for the dough to puff up was the hardest part because I was so eager to see how they’d turn out. When it was finally ready, I rolled it out and used a glass to cut perfect little circles, plus smaller ones for the donut holes.

The frying part was a bit nerve-wracking. Watching the dough turn golden brown in the hot oil was exciting, though I was scared of getting splattered. Thankfully, no burns—just perfectly cooked donuts!

The best part came after: decorating. I made a simple glaze with powdered sugar and milk, then added some sprinkles. For variety, I also dipped a few in melted chocolate. They looked so cute, almost too pretty to eat!

When I took my first bite, I was in heaven. Soft, fluffy, and just sweet enough—the homemade taste made them so much better than store-bought. Sharing them with my family felt amazing; they couldn’t believe I made them myself.

Today, I learned that making donuts is not as hard as it seems, and the effort is so worth it. There’s something magical about turning a few basic ingredients into something this delicious.

P.S. Next time, I want to try stuffing them with custard or jam!
