Today was a bit of a different experience—my sister had her driving lesson, and I tagged along for support. I’ve been excited for her, and it was fun to watch her take another step toward independence.

When we got to the driving school, I could tell she was a little nervous, but also really eager to get started. She took the wheel for the first time in front of her instructor, and I was amazed by how focused she was. The first few minutes were a bit shaky, but she quickly started getting the hang of things. I kept cheering her on from the passenger seat, giving little tips here and there.

It was funny, though. There were moments when she’d hit the brakes a bit too hard or turn a little wide, and I’d instinctively grab onto the seat like I was the one driving! But I kept reminding myself that she’s learning, and I was proud of how well she was doing.

After the lesson, we went for coffee to relax, and we spent some time talking about how it felt to be behind the wheel. She mentioned how overwhelming it is at times but also how much fun it was. I can tell she’s getting more confident with each lesson, and I’m so happy for her.

It was nice to be there for her during this milestone. Watching her take on something new reminded me of how exciting and nerve-wracking learning can be. I can’t wait to see her on the road, driving confidently.

P.S. I’m looking forward to the day when I can be her co-pilot on a road trip!
